Reviews
"Richard is good-looking and very smart, which is sexy to start with. He also makes a billion dollars before breakfast-and still knows how to have fun." -- Ivana Trump "Few people in contemporary business are as colorful, shrewd, and irreverent, and probably no one's nearly as much fun to be around. . . . Branson embodies America's cherished mythology of the iconoclastic, swashbuckling entrepreneur." -- GQ "Branson wears his fame and money exceedingly well: no necktie, no chauffeur, no snooty clubs. . . . What continues to set Branson apart is the unique -- and, to some, baffling -- nature of his ambition. . . . He isn't interested in power in the usual sense of influencing other people. . . . Boiled down to its singular essence, Richard Branson just wants to have fun." -- Newsweek "Branson, a self-described 'adventure capitalist,' is a business-creation engine who was clearly born in the wrong place. . . . Those business instincts are matched by an ability to motivate people who work for him. And who wouldn't want to -- Branson seems hell-bent on making sure that everybody, but everybody, is having as much fun as he is." -- Time "Richard Branson . . . is dressed to the nines: in a $10,000 white silk bridal gown with a traditional veil and train and acres of lace. . . . Branson is expected to do the unexpected, even the bizarre -- anything to publicize his latest venture. . . . The fact is, Branson's widely reported stunts seem almost staid compared to the unconventional way he manages his burgeoning empire." -- Forbes ASAP

  • Losing My Virginity Sir Richard Branson

The life story of one the 20th centurys interesting men. This is a must read for anyone in business. Here you have a guy with no money, no good looks, that made himself one of the richest men in the world. It gives his life story, how he started with a small student newspaper, to become what he is today. It shows how he overcome the huge problems with bully boy tactics from a rival airline, to start up one of the worlds top airline companies. Branson has nothing more than common sense, a desire to win, take risks and hard work. The book that gives his life story will inform you of how he does most of it, how he worked with princess Diana, and most of the worlds rich and famous. Plus how whilst on a small broken down boat with engine failure. 8 miles from shore with a storm coming, He swam ...

  • More than an Autobiography, its an Entrepreneur's Guide

This autobiography reads like a guide for a new entrepreneur wishing to follow in Ricahrd Branson's foot steps. It's a roller coaster ride of a one-time hippie made good. Reads more like a novel than an autobiography, sometimes in "Indiana Jones" style - what with the balloon adventure, high speed boat race, etc. Although sometimes a little self-serving (like his pitches for all things Virgin, and the constant bombardment of British Airways), I guess since it's his book, his publishing company and he's the boss, you have to allow him some latitude. Don't just read the words - read the thoughts behind the man. I will definitely recommend this book to all young men dreaming of starting his own enterprise. I find the later chapters a bore, especially his ramblings about doing good for mankind ...

  • What a book!

What a book! What a story! This is amazing...anybody aspiring to be a business man should read it! The way Richard has spotted opportunities and went for them, is something worth the reading. From a man that takes life to the extreme and is successful at it, this story is full of excellent details, lessons on decision making, and much more... I highly recommend it.
