This is a well-made instrument, clearly labelled Ozark, Romania, with the stamped number 2013. It had some superficial dings and scratches, but was instantly playable and nearly in tune! Although plain in style, it has all the right features for a nice clear tone to make a beginner happy. Keeps in tune while played although haven't gone longer than a half hour yet! Excellent value, as new Ozark dulcimers of identical style are £140 and up. I used the savings to get accessories: a soft case, capo and plectrums.

Bought as a present. Recipient is delighted. A great beginners instrument.. well made and flawless finish. Would have been nice if a simple noter could have been provided. Not really a problem as any piece of dowel etc. would do. Worth mentioning that this instrument has the two "extra" frets allowing many tunes to be played which would otherwise be impossible!
