Great banjo with a ton of extras for less than I could find it anywhere else
Ordered from this store to the US, shipping took about a week. The service done by the luthiers at 12fret, adjusting height of each string and adding capo spikes is very helpful and well done. When I got it, it was well packed in great condition and the bridge was even still perfectly placed. I read a lot of reviews recommending the Deering Goodtime 2 and how great it sounds for the price and this deal right here was the cheapest I could find a new one and it came with all of these great bonuses. The tuner fits really nicely on the neck and seem even more accurate than my Snark clip on chromatic. The bag is really sturdy, well padded, and has nice backpack straps as well as the the carrying handle. This is my first banjo so I don't have much to compare it to, but everyone I've showed ... Oh and the steve martin cd and book are really funny and are a good for a beginner or intermediate banjo player who like pretty music

Beginners Banjo Deering II
Since I received it I found it hard putting it down. Once tuned it sounds great and seems to stay in tune for awhile. I bought it used and I haven't changed the strings yet but it sounds great for now and just wonder how better it will sound with new strings. If your a beginner like me I suggest spending a little more and buying the Deering II it's a better investment. I had bought a cheaper Banjo and then bought this one. It is a pleasure to play. And Made in America instead of an Import. Since I received it I found it hard putting it down. Once tuned it sounds great and seems to stay in tune for awhile. I bought it used and I haven't changed the strings yet but it sounds great for now and just wonder how better it will sound with new strings. If your a beginner like me I suggest spending a little more and buying the Deering II it's a better investment. I had bought a cheaper Banjo and then bought this one. It is a pleasure to play. And Made in America instead of an Import.

I purchased this banjo Used but was in like perfect condition from Sam Ash Music and I really love it. Price wise was a great value and its a really beauty and plays very sweet! Rest assured I was nervous about a used banjo but you would never know its used! Great Banjo a real A++++

Deering Banjos are fun and sturdy. I recommend them for anyone looking for a great banjo made in the USA. They are a bit pricey compared to other brands, but I don’t mind paying the premium for quality craftsmanship.

My New Goodtime Banjo 2
I got my Banjo fairly quickly. It plays very well. The string set up is off a little and I will have to go to a Luthier to get it re aligned, but no big deal. Great price. Would recommend.
