    Excellent quality build with close shave and excellent engineering

    Was using for so many years disposable and cheap double edge shavers. Never liked the electric shavers. I saw the reviews of the Merkur Futur and decided to give it a try. So very glad I did. Now I like to shave in the shower. The Merkur when it gets soapy is a bit slippery. So I dipped the handle in liquid rubber and problem solved. The problems that I had in the past is that so many cheap razor bodies have poor adjustment or no adjustment at all. The Merkur has an excellent adjustment and also has a great system where the top of the head snaps off for cleaning or blade replacement. It also has deep valleys on each side to take up the scrapings. Very easy to clean. The shave I get with the Merkur is excellent. Very close and no nicks! So I highly recommend the Merkur Futur.     Well made and finished but with drawbacks

    Merkur razors are justifiably respected for quality, and this is no exception.For an adjustable razor it ticks most boxes. The main problem is that the razor head is quite thick and so manoeuvring it around the nose, for example, is not as easy or effective as regular safety razors. Number 1 is the most sensitive setting and it is indeed as good as other sensitive style razors. Going above three and you had better have a styptic pencil handy, or have pretty tough skin. It is however a good option for those that shave only every few days. I don't understand why they did not have a knurled handle like most other razors, so keep you fingers dry when using it. The other thing you will have to get used to is the weight, but they do say to let the weight of the razor do the work, and I have ...

    best DE razor I have ever owned simple blade change great balance I have the satin finish one not slippery in use just start at 1 or 2 when you first start shaving with it can be very aggressive if you use too much pressure I have mine at 4.5 close shave no irritation! buy one you will like it!

    Great safety razor.

    Works extremely well, at a fraction of the cost of disposable blades only purchased a second one so that I could have one for travel. The first one I purchased was approximately six years ago cleans up very easily and still works well.

    Excellent Razor

    Great razor, great shave, great quality. I recommend it with 5 stars. I would advise the user to try different blades until they find the one that fits their taste. The blades make a lot of difference with this razor. I used it with both shave butter and cremo, both were awesome.
