    Fast & Easy

This scanner does not work with Macs or Linx. I called the company. They have other models that do, just not this one. I have a Mac and use Parallels running XP. Works fine. The set up instructions are lame, but once you get it, it's easy to use. It will scan cards as fast as I can feed it into the scanner and does a very good job of recognition. Cards with dark backgrounds and fonts that are close to handwritten don't recognize well. Fortunately I don't get many like that. The only real downside to this is the software that runs it. You have to register it with the company via internet. If you dont have internet, you may not be able to scan cards. Also, if the company goes out of business, what then? Overall, I like it and use it a lot.

    Great scanner. Fair software

This scanner sets up easily, but only on 32 bit systems. They offer no support at all for 64 bit. The scanner itself works very well and is able to display the cards no matter what font or colour is used. However, the included software is weak in reading the card and translating it into editable text. With 64 bit support and better OCR software, this would be a great product.

  • CardScan Personal

Pros:I have used the CardScan system for over 10 years as a business tool and it really does great work of turning business cards into data files. I have approx. 8-10 data bases with all my business card contacts from when I started using the system. Great printing and export features as well. Cons: The new online back-up is intrusive and difficult to access your data. The licenses for additional users is expensive and cost almost as much as a scanner and software combo.

  • Not Bad

The unit is very helpful in organizing me. I tend to lose business cards, but with this I only have to hold on to them until I can get the scanned. The scans are not very good quality at all, and it took a bit of correcting in probably 70% of the cards scanned, but still a great organizational tool. I imagine that the higher end scanners would have a better scan feature.

  • Great product!!

Very well made product. Ingenious invention. Software is easy to use. Synchs perfectly with my Outlook which then downloads contacts to my iPhone. Very nice indeed. Reads cards pretty quickly, good quality scans all in black and white. The color model might be something I upgrade to one day, but really I don't need it. The black and white is just fine. Totally love this device!
