    Adjustable chuck works fine

I've used twice and my boyfriend has used it a few time as well. What's nice for me is that it can hold very small drills, etc, something a standard Dremel collet can't. For my purposes I could get the tool tight enough so the drill did not slip. My boyfriend (another purpose) felt he had to resort to a channel lock to tighten the chuck, but as I was not there to witness, I don't know if he really had to or if it was a perception issue. While Dremels spin fact they really have limited torque so slippage should not be a major concern

Ok,but not a real big improvement.

Seems well made but really not much different than the original collet bushings as far as you still have to use another tool shaft to block the rotation to loosen or tighten an accessory bit. This is not like the keyless chuck used on larger drills,it just eliminates having to change bushings on different size bits and accessory shafts, but it looks well made.Just judge for yourself if it is worth the price for a minor improvement.

  • Worked for Custom made Security Pins

I needed this in order to make custom made security pins for a Schlage Training lock I'm working on. I ordered some 0.115" 260 Brass round stock, and the Dremel keyless chuck was modified a little by using a file to file down the nose of the chuck, so that even at the most open position of the chuck the chuch teeth or jaws were exposed or flush with the outside of the chuck. Then I used 1000 and then 2000 grit sand paper to finish the nose of the chuck to a mirror like shine. Thanks for offering this, great purchase. The pin(s) spin without any wobble, and the chuck works very well.

  • High Precision, Excellent Grip

The Dremel brand keyless chuck is quite well-made; it's very precise and holds mandrels very well, even better than a collet when thinner mandrels are involved. It attaches to my Dremel 2050 (Stylo+) in place of the collet nut, and is still nicely balanced; although there's a fair bit of resistance when turning the chuck to loosen/tighten the jaws, this is beneficial. Perhaps the greatest benefit to me personally, is the fact that the chuck distances the bit head away from the body of the unit, making it a little easier to work on larger objects or for detailed fine work. I'm glad I purchased this accessory, and it's much easier to use than changing collets all the time.

  • Indispensable!

If you own a Dremel or similar rotary tool with the same size output shaft thread, you NEED to have this highly versatile chuck! You can change between all sorts of different tool bits VERY QUICKLY. Just make sure you place the working end of your tool bits as close to the chuck clamping jaws as possible. Extending the working bit much longer than needed can be harder on your rotary tool.
