I took this Toyota original radio to a specialized shop at Best Buy, the Geek Squad, and a professional installer named Pablo, removed the old one, installed this newer unit. He cleaned a few contacts, and restored the volume knob function and is working as announced by the seller. Probably during shipping and handling, the box suffered and it affected the volume knob function, but the installer corrected the problem.
