I use "Scope" brand soldering irons, which I have attached photos of. But I need to hold the solder wire with my free hand when soldering, and I liked that this iron had the roll of solder applied to the soldering tip.
The simple fact is that this soldering iron does not work. The solder wire contacts the soldering tip too high and the soldering tip get oxidised and won't let the solder stick to it. There is no stand attached to let the soldering it stay off the bench when not soldering.
