I had been having problems with the various super routers that every company now say they have but suffered continual drop outs and especially with sky Q TV and streaming in general. I had tried EVERYTHING in my box of experienced tricks but just could not get the service advertised. I even made up a specially long Ethernet cable so that I had a hard line connection, no joy I bought this, at a bargain rate it has to be said, and I did have a few problems setting it up but that's the norm I feel. A quick contact call from Apple had me up and running within 15 minutes and my broadband is rock solid. No drop outs, getting speeds a bit higher than advertised and I can also set up completely separate guest networks, so that if I get visitors stay over, I can give them their own dedicated network and it doesn't give access to ANY of my own files or content. Apparently it's capable of up to running 50 of these. I found no loss of speed by setting up 3 guest networks for people who stayed over after a party Just one word of caution. Most use this bridged to their current router and that is fine but the way to go, as I see it, is to take away your existing router once you have gone through copying the information, the Apple airport does this for you. Use this as your main router and forget the one supplied is my advice Apple are excellent in talking you through this if you find it difficult and they will schedule a call back and mostly within an hour, even at weekends Without doubt, the best decision and purchase I've made this decade. I can't believe I did not see the various routers as being problematical in themselves. I'd have saved myself so much work, testing and many many phone calls and stress that goes with that Highly recommended purchase. It also utilises both 2.4 and 5 gig frequencies at the same time and this is what I believe makes it so solid I had a guy bring his Amazon firestick here as he was having trouble at his place. Had it up and running IPTV channels in a jiffy. He now has also bought himself one of the Apple AirPort Extreme routers. At last and after 17 years, I've had no problems, no need to reset anything nor a single problem with internet. It's marvellous Read full review

MY home Virgin Media router is stronger than this router which is good enough to avoid this device. I think this device meant to be strong at 2013 not now with all these new routers which are extremely strong, its time for apple to bring new one to beat all of them but certainly not this one.

I have two of these, connected by wire and a Draytek Vigor 130 - my life got a lot simpler, after years of struggle with Airports here and Airports there, trying to get a good service in this stone built office. I recommend the Draytek. When I added mine the sync speed went up by nearly 30%.

Working as expected. Currently using it as SMB to share files. Slightly slow compared to Synology NAS, but it`s okay for my usage.
