It comes up to full speed very quickly thanks to the capacitor start. It did require me raising my Shopsmith on the bench a bit to accommodate the capacitor housing. It was packaged in a sturdy box surrounded by foam, so it was in excellent condition when it arrived. The shipping cost was very reasonable compared to others I considered. I was very pleased with the vendor communication, and I believe I got a great deal.
