Good for acoustic guitar recording
It is a very sensitive mic and you need to keep the source volume really low. Otherwise it will pop. Good on acoustic guitar. TML103 picks up more air and will sound bigger but with this you will get more focused and manageable sound.

I design Digital Audio devices (USB Audio Class 1/2). I also play guitar and have a degree in percussion. The KM184 is known as being one of the best mics for acoustic recording and I know why. This freaken mic picks up everything! For the first week or so you always have something to tweak about a setup and this one can be very hard to setup. But I put one just below the sound hole and one at the 12th fret and the mix can be dead on. To really get the most out of this mic it is best to have a really good preamplifier with low noise phantom supply. When I tried this on a MBox 2 Mini the noise from the preamp/phantom really diminished the overall sound of the mic. For live recordings I set up a pair into a Art Phantom supply (battery operated) and then into a modified (SSD replaced hard ... I design Digital Audio devices (USB Audio Class 1/2). Nothing compares
Got them specifically to record acoustic guitar in stereo... and for that purpose it’s hard to find anything better. Workhorse that will deliver crispy clear transparent sound when used to record any acoustic source (percussion, strings, drum overhead, you name it).

IT IS A GOOD BARGAIN
The quality of this mic is perfect for my uses as a pro engineer using it on classical music recordings-not as a main mic but for emphasis purposes. You can't compair it to a Schoeps colette serie that costs four times this mic but it is a decent compromise .
