This is a great offering by Manga. An unlikely heroine, "The Paper", can turn seemingly any volume of paper into whatever form or shape she wishes. There's a top secret agency, Section A of Library Special Ops., trying to foil a plot to end the world. Enter the master villian, who, by using stolen DNA, is cloning some of history's most capable and inventive bad guys to do his dirty work. All this hinging on a lost Beethoven manuscript. The film abounds with tons of action, interesting characters, and an engaging plot. "I never cared about the world, I just wanted you to keep loving me, the way I love you." It's (Miss) Deep. The art is good, the story is understandable and epic. Well told and produced. Directed by Kouji Masunari; the DVD contains all three thirty min. episodes. Some other works I like might give you a comparitive reference: FLCL (Fooly Cooly), Cowboy Bebop, Appleseed, Wolf's Rain, Trigun, Akira. High marks!Read full review

Fast delivery. Package was secure when it arrived. It was a used product so I expected so wear and tear. Disc and case in great shape. Disc skipped a little bit right at the end which was a bummer. Otherwise, great purchase.

The characters are all fun and interesting, the soundtrack is fabulous, and overall it's an exciting story I haven't seen before anywhere else. Very short, only 3 episodes that total about an hour and a half but that's all that's needed to tell this story. I was only disappointed it didn't have the option to play as a movie - each episode includes opening and ending credits which breaks up the experience.

One of the best anime OVAs ever. Great music, engaging world building, and interesting powers. The characters don't always have time to breath but it is a pretty short OVA.

I first saw this on G4 Tech TV "Anime Unleashed". I think it was 2004ish when it aired, I instantly fell in love with the series. Never skipped the intro either!

This OVA was quite entertaining and the production was amazing but it felt like it lacked a decent storyline. The musical scores were limited but still very catchy, reminiscent of some bond-action flick, and the animation was simple but beautiful. The biggest flaw was the story. It felt like the whole thing was rushed, there was not enough time to understand most of the antagonists, and though we got a good feel of Readman, the other two I can barely remember. very little character development and the storyline was confusing a bit and seemed to have wholes. If it had just been longer, more could have been explained.Still, not bad.
This is an excellent anime! It is short sweet and to the point since it is only three episodes long. However, if you are looking for a little long version of ROD, I recommend the TV series, which I believe is 27 episodes. This is super cool because you have comedy, adventure, romance, and action all in one mini series! And the coolest thing by far is the main protagonist uses paper as her weapon by making origami!
Great movie. Slightly scratched otherwise would have been 5!!

Yomiko's a substitute teacher who spends what she earns on books. A monster tries to steal her rare book and she does amazing battle moves that gets her drafted into the British Library Special Engineering Force, (WHAT ?). Mutants are stealing rare books from libraries around the world for a scientist that plans to destroy the human race. This adventure has some great designs, animation, and direction for as old as it is.
It's good
