Great price and a very supportive seller! The listing showed the card with the full profile PCIe bracket but the one I received only had the low profile bracket. I reached out to the seller and they sent me a full size bracket free of charge since I needed that one. Would do business again, thank you!

  • Server has noise

Everything's fine but it makes noise even the server is stable. I have R730 and R720, they are quite . Seller said I need to configure iDRAC, but I have same noise after configure it. This noise may be OK in the server room but I have a rack in my office and it is bothering me much.

  • Incredibly powerful and efficient server despite aging microarchitecture

I am running ProxMox VE on my PowerEdge R630 as a virtualization server for numerous self-hosted services. Even for chips built on Intel’s aging Broadwell microarchitecture, the dual 14 core Xeon E5-2680 v4 CPUs blaze through all the workloads I throw at it. It is surprisingly energy efficient: sipping an average of ~140 Watts running 7 VMs simultaneously. For a 1U rack mount server, it is also rather quiet in contrast to what I read from other reviews. I am very pleased with this machine.
