      Sturdy design but hard to use

      The Stanley 6-MR 100 is a sturdy piece of kit and is well put together. However, if you are not familiar with riveting, like me, then you should bear in mind that it takes some real force to close the handles to do the riveting. I was using 4mm stainless steel rivets and I found it impossible to fully compress the rivet and to 'crack' the mandrel off, Maybe with stong hands it is possible, I would imagine that on smaller aluminium rivets there might not be this problem. I have now had to buy a riveter with longer handles so as to get the required levarage. It was about the same price as this one.

      Pot luck

      Bought this thinking it might be better quality than cheaper ones. I was wrong. Every time i used it, the left over shaft of the pop rivet got jammed in the teeth of the rivet gun and almost impossible to remove it. Not wgat i expected from a stanley rivet gun.
