When Australia Was Still A Great Country

What a great movie,a little boy will get his first gun if he can prove himself responsible! Fast forward to modern times and look at all the political correctness gone mad,and all of the hype about the Adler shotgun being a deadly gun if it has more than 5 shots! its laughable to look at how insane Australia has gone from the days when "smiley gets a gun" was made. I wish Australia was still a Great country like it is portrayed in this film, its heart warming to watch the trust that is given to young smiley to own and use his very own .22 rifle. I started shooting at age 9 and bought my first shotgun out of the trading post at age 13 on a junior permit, and it was registered in my older brothers name. Smiley gets a gun is worth a look if you want to see how great Australia once was.

  • Awesome Aussie movie!

The movie was a gift for my Mum who grew up with Smiley. She loved it! Laughing at Smiley getting into mischief and being the little larrikin he is. It's a top all time favourite movie of our family!

  • Great for kids

My 5 year old grandson loves these movies, he wants to watch them everytime they visit. So I have purchased his very own dvds for Christmas.

  • An Old classic

A great movie for people who are not over-the-top politically correct. It brings back memories of a time that will never come again. Very entertaining.
