I’ve used this on FS700 camcorders and a7iii cameras. It works very well on both. Performs like an ENG style camcorder lens with smooth variable speed power zoom. The three rings for focus, zoom and f stop make it just like an old school camcorder. F4 works very for low light and bokah on mirrorless cameras. The lens looks and performs like a professional lens. Well worth the money if you can find one! Optical stabilization works great even when on a tripod which is where this lens belongs. It’s heavy and has some very quality glass. I love the super slow zoom speed. Great lens for weddings and events where you want a super slow and smooth zoom.

I purchased this lens for my new Sony PXW-FS7 because it allowed complete communication with the camera for iris, zoom and focus control. It's proved to be an excellent value for the money. My initial tests show it to be extremely sharp and interestingly the f4 maximum iris still allows short depth of field to put backgrounds slightly out of focus for interviews with only a few feet between the subject and the background. This is due undoubtedly to the super 35, 11.6 mp full frame sensor in the camera, so the combination works great. Sony has a winner in this one.

Great Slow smooth zoom. It also activates the Clear Image Zoom in Sony cameras seamlessly. Easily use with focus and zoom motors on remote gear. You will still need a gimbal type stabilizer when going into Zoom. A+ lens.

Great addition to the video arsenal. Image is sharp, awesome range, great picture. Manual control over everything, though the zoom takes some getting used to. Autofocus is quick and accurate. It is a heavier lens, but for everything it offers, it’s certainly not a huge downfall. I got great results shooting handheld.

A good all-around lens for video and even a few stills. OSS does a great job keeping the image steady, the zoom is quick and responsive, and the zoom range means I can keep this lens on most of the time when doing video. Did I mention it's parfocal?! Another plus.

You can spend $12k more on the Ziess Otis or another set of fixed lenses and you will get a better f stop and sharper images. However for a video lens you will be hard pressed to find a better lens for under $3k. This is a very fine lens with an impecable image quality. Versitile and durable, but don't drop it, My first one was briefly stolen and returned by the theif when I confronted him. Unfortunately I dropped the lens 2 weeks after I recovered it. So I had to buy another.
