      A cup of tea and a biscuit kind of humour.

      I bought this for my 86 year old mother after repeated conversations where we tried to remember what the series was called. In the end I Googled it, got straight on to e-bay and found the best deal for a used copy, it arrived within three days and we watched two episodes that night. Yes it's a bit cheesy, but it is gentle, inoffensive and easy for her to follow.. it is more like watching a stage play. David Essex is always watchable although not the best actor in the world. Most of all, it made my Mum laugh, something she rarely does, what more could I ask for?

      Relaxing Brilliant Viewing

      David Essex AKA Davy locksmith of a barge in Bunbury was escaping his past of London and some past dodgy dealings and discovers new interests of animals and countryside. He gets caught up in romance by a chance meeting but has an interfering Aunt who's always trying to spoil his fun.I Absolutely loved it found thoroughly entertaining and peaceful, highly recommend it.

      Disappointing series.

      Very disappointed with this series. Some Scottish woman shouting all the time, and someone being pushed into the river each day. Even David Essex did not make it worth watching.
