    They really work!

    I picked up a cheapo uke just as a practice instrument to leave at work, and it came with lousy useless tuners. The darn thing couldn't stay tuned for anything. After installing these Grover pegs and breaking in the new strings, it plays as well as any cheap uke can. It doesn't match the tone quality of my Lanikai, but that's on the build of the uke's body, not the tuners. It really does stay in tune now. On top of that, since the Grovers are good quality and stay tuned because of their superior design, I don't have to tighten their friction adjust screws as much, so they are easier to tune than the cheap ones that you really had to clamp down hard to even attempt to keep in tune. Simply fantastic that they can turn a dog into a decent player!
