Technically NOT a Black and Decker Product
Purchased to use as supplemental heat in a bathroom. Was loud but served the purpose. Shocked that in 4 months it had failed. Reached out to Black and Decker to discover it wasn't even a Black and Decker product. It is produced in China by a company "Equity Brands." They basically make the product and put whoever's branding on it. Was on the phone for about 30 minutes with an offshore support rep when the informed me I needed to cut off the power cord and mail it back as well as the serial number sticker to complete the claim. Informed me it would take 6-8 weeks to receive a replacement. It's the end of January and will be Spring before a replacement arrives? Some items are better to be purchased locally so you can simply return them if there is an issue. This is one of them.

Not what i expected.
not what I expected from a Black and Decker product. Advertisement picture showed a knob that eluded to variable speeds...no so just on/of control..single speed. Fan is so slow I can't feel the breeze from 2 feet away.

I already own one of these.
I bought it as a space heater for my apartment but I was so pleasantly surprised how well the fan worked without the heat. I’m pretty much buying this one to be my ac while I sit in my computer chair in the living room.

No Regrets
After reading a few online reviews, I still opted to purchase this heater and have no regrets. Upon turning the device on, there is a burning smell that subsides in a few minutes. The sound from the fan is not unbearable. The amount of heat this little thing puts out is remarkable. If you are looking for a heater for a small room, this is not a bad choice. If minor imperfections bother you, this is not the one.
