Don't trust aftermarket.
After 16 years my Avalon ignition switch started hanging up. If this switch fails you will be stranded so I went to the local chain auto parts store to buy an aftermarket unit. The new key was not smooth going in and out and the switch hung up when trying to turn it.I decided to order this pen unit instead and it arrived in less than a week. By this time the aftermarket unit was working on but not wanting to take a chance on getting stuck somewhere, I put this unit in. It fit perfect.
