The one and only true Scrooge, Alister Sim masterful acting compels you to both dislike him and he is able to impart the emotions of joy in us all. Restoration Not So Great
I was looking forward to watching the restoration of this timeless beautiful classic movie. The video is beautifully restored, but the audio is awful. Excellent title
My parents and I have always enjoyed this movie. We watch it every Christmas Eve. It's an excellent movie, especially with Allistair Sim acting as Scrooge. Best Version Ever
I've been watching Alastair Sim in A Christmas Carol since I was A child so I might be a bit prejudiced. The great, great, great, granddaughter would not release the 1951 film unless she felt it was as close to the book as possible that her fore bearer, Charles Dickens had written. The cd shown is the original black and white version and has subtitles in the original vernacular, if you have any trouble with your hearing as I. Worth turning on at least once.
