So it is old, these old sets will have the foam start to deteriorate, the stickers will be peeling, and the plastic could potentially be brittle. There is actually a new version of the Criss Cross Crash you can buy in stores and while it loses on the nostalgia factor it likely will work much more to your expectations. I had this exact 1992 set growing up and wanted to see it again now that i'm grown (and have a 3d printer) to see if i could design parts for it.
I would recommend this if you want to satisfy your inner 90s youth. It is fun to show to kids but if they are rough with it at all it will break.
