Product Information

An adaptation of a novel by Danielle Steel, THE RING features her trademark combination of epic melodrama and romance set against the backdrop of terrible historic events. In the days of Hitler's Germany, Ariana von Gotthard (Nastassja Kinski) is a young woman who finds herself in grave danger after the suicide of her mother and the disappearance of her father and brother. Luckily she meets a young officer who falls in love with her and takes her as his wife. But during the chaos of the last days of the war, he is killed, leaving Ariana alone once more. With only her mother's ring to remind her of her family, she emigrates to the United States in the hopes of finding her father and brother, only to find a new love and possibility, finally, for happiness.

Wonderful, heart-touching movie.
I have always LOVED this movie. I saw it years ago when it came to tv as a mini-series. It was not available in stores anywhere. When I was able to find it online I ordered it. Unfortunately, it was lost to me in mail before I could receieve it. That was about 4 or 5 years ago. I was kinda discouraged and didn't recorder then. Lately, I started thinking about how much I missed this movie and wanted to see it. So, I reently went online and found it and ordered it. I am very happy I did. I have enjoyed watching it. It's one of those movies you never tire of watching. You will watch it over and over again with delight. Thank you.

Great Movie
I love Daniel Steel books and I recently read this one. I had to hunt down this movie and I'm glad I did. Its one of the few times the movie is better than the book (only slightly though). I much preferred the movie ending to that of the book. Overall, its a great movie for any DS fan. It was a bit expensive for me but I'm glad I got it.
