      This is a great tool for the garden and buy this one from Japan not China knockoffs.

      It's a great tool and has a sharp, thick blade,wood handle and deep printed markings in the tool. The knife has a nice leather holder but the snap clip is a bit weak. This tool is made in Japan not China. This one is better built than the China knockoffs. It should last a lifetime.

      Absolutely excellent! Highest praise.

      Very high quality and razor sharp so be careful! I bought another hori knife from one of those high end garden companies. The sheath that one came in was fancier looking but who cares. It's the knife that matters. I'd give it six stars if I could.

      This is a quality tool at a good price. However it is not the best soil knife out there. The blade/tang(portion of steel sandwiched by the handle) does not extend the full length of the handle so it does have the potential to break where the steel ends, under heavy load. Look for handles with 3 or more rivets & two separate pieces of wood sandwiching the tang in-between the whole length of the tool.

      cheaper on amazon but it is a fine tool for many different tasks in the garden as well as for house plants. Perfect for splitting stag horn ferns and worked well for lowering n 8 ft tall ponytail palm.
