I've got a mint condition T2 camper and wanted a tailored bike rack solution. To start with the instructions weren't clear at all and the brackets on the instructions looked different to those in the pack. Once built I was concerned that the brackets that were meant to go on the top and bottom of the door were made of metal. A piece of clear tape was with the pack to prevent scratching! When I put the top section over the door, the bottom brackets were also too high up to go under the door so I had to undo the mounts. By fudging it I managed to get both sets of brackets on but then the door wouldn't close and the top metal brackets were digging into the paint when the door was lifted. By this point I gave up as didn't want to further damage my pride and joy. £174 down the portable toilet!

This is a good rack, well thought out. It fits very well on our 1972 Volkswagen Bus. Small drawbacks: 1) no rubber pads supplied for bottom steel brackets, we got some high-density rubber foam pads from a local store and 2) there is a small leak caused by the fact that the upper steel brackets are mounted behind the rubber seal of the rear hatch. On our first day out with the rack, we drove back in heavy rain and found water in the back of the bus.
