I have had this phone for over 2 years and all three of my handsets are still going strong. I purchased this phone based on the reviews and my past experience with Panasonic products. Everything about this phone is top-notch. Before this phone I had crap phones from V-Tech and AT&T and I sold those off after only having them for 2 or 3 months. The sound quality was just not there. These phones are almost perfect in every way. I love the built in phone book and being able to copy phone books between phones. I have two base stations and they both work great. One is just a Voice Mail notification base, Model KX-TG270S. What that means is that it will check your voicemail status if your voicemail service is with your phone company. You then just press the VM button on the phone or base to dial the voicemail system. The base unit that has the actual digital Voicemail is also very nice. That model is the KX-TG2730S. The only real problem I found with these phones was the factory battery. The die really quickly and need to be replaced. I replaced my batteries with Energizer brand ones for about $15 each and the have worked perfect since.Read full review
I keep buying panasonic phones due to the features and price point, however I am always disappointed how the batteries of there phones never last. At the price of replacing batteries, its almost more cost effective to buy a new phone. I have started calling them disposable phones. They are very inexpensive, and packed with features; however expect about a year worth of use out of the battery. Dont get me wrong though, I do keep buying panasonic phones because they work (when the battery is optimal). The phone is very user friendly, with great range, clear display, neat features (usually found in more expensive phone). Just be prepared to replace the batteries a year down the road.
I have had this phone for over last 10 years - the best ever phone Panasonic made. The only down side is the LCD display is not very visible in low light. The keypad eventually got "lazy" loosing its memory and had to press harder and eventually failed to resopond.Over the internet, on ebay, found a merchant who sold these key pads for only about $10.00! It came with full detailed instructions how to replace it + a video clip on his web site leaving nothing to imagination and mis-understanding!The phone is behaving like new. Panasonic makes excellent product but unfortunately, sometimes instead of making product better they introduce new products with more features and at the same time remove or discard the very features the product was famous in the first place!
This handset sync'd to my base set that I purchased 20 years ago without any issues. Love the features and the quality.
