I've only used this once--to extend a Tamron 70-200 F/2.8 to 400mm connected to a Nikon D7000 to photograph a little spider a few feet away in my bedroom. I used a hot shoe connected flash, f/8, 1"/200. I had some trouble with autofocus, but I expected that. The lens hunted for focus until I eventually gave up and focused manually. I couldn't quite get the focal plane exactly where I needed it, but this was while shooting a tiny object at close range. Overall, I'm happy with the teleconverter and think it's a good deal for the price I paid. It arrived with all the original packaging, and was shipped in acceptable time. BTW, I don't know if you're seeing the same image of a teleconverter that I am seeing as I write this, but it is 2X, not 1.4X as in that image.
I have been unemployed for more than a half year, and was truly hoping for a less expensive tool to help extend the zoom capability of my Canon lenses. This Kenko Teleconverter is a waste of 100 dollars. I don't think I have ever been more disappointed by something I have spent a hundred dollars on. Being in a position of zero income, I used precious dollars to expand my photographic capabilities, and was taken advantage of by shoddy craftsmanship, and a company that appears to be non too concerned with delivering less than satisfactory products. Sadly.

I purchased this to use with my Canon6D. Could not be happier more. Auto sensors connects and reacts very well. No problem with L series lens 24-105. I tried with other canon lens 70-200 as well. Still got good closeups shots. Obviously F Stop changes because of extender and that is natural. I took this extender with my camera to trip to the Himalayas, in Nepal for a month. Took about thousand pictures, amazing results. Highly recommend.
as any sophisticated piece of equipment i am having to learn just a little to get the most from this converter lens / it is very good for me though its images have been excellent for my use

This is a very nice extender. You must remember the extender is only god at above 50MM, so if you use a 50MM lens it will not extend it 2x to 100MM. I used it with my Canon 6D and both the Canon 24-105 tele and my Tamron 28-300 tele. I have used the 300MM end of my Tamron (for a 600MM lens) outside with wildlife...very good. You cannot go wrong with this extender.
