Yamaha Drum Hardware
Happily, Yamaha has upgraded and improved the design of its locking hi-hat clutch. The original design was prone to cracking when the top cymbal stop was tightened even slightly too much. It appeared that the locking force was being amplified by leverage when closing over the threaded tube. Now the top and bottom stops operate with the same mechanical force and do not appear to be as likely to cause a failure. Incremental improvements such as this are one reason that Yamaha continues to make the best drum hardware available.Happily, Yamaha has upgraded and improved the design of its locking hi-hat clutch.
