My last scientific calculator was an HP 33s. I like the Sharp much better. From here I'll just list Pros and Cons. Pros: First off you notice that you don't have to punch the keys so hard like the HP 33s. Solar powered with battery Plenty of metric conversions and constants for Physics. 4 line display and you can adjust the Contrast Can be purchased for under $20 Cons: While in Write View the default setting will display calculations in fraction form whenever possible. Otherwise you have to change the Editor to Line view. I would of liked the ability to change the default setting while in Write View so calculations come out in decimal first w/out having to always hit the Change key to finally see decimals. The HP 33s had a booklet manual while this has a fold out piece of paper. Or you can download the manual from the Sharp web site.Read full review
Single-handedly the best calculator I've ever used. This calculator still surprises me to this day with what it can do. I've had the calculator since 2009 and I haven't used it in a couple of years...yet it still runs! The fact that it just turned on inspired me to write this review. If you're looking for perfection, get this calculator. It's programmable (sort of... you can save variable values and basically calculate entire formulae with different values with ease). It can calculate derivatives, definite integrals and anything below that level of math. It can probably do more, but I've yet to discover those features....

This is great product. I used this a lot at college. For student going to high school or college, this scientific calculator is for you. It's a little harder at first, but once you get to know all the function, this will make your math, algebra, trig, calculus a think in the past. I strongly recommend this product. Thanks, Joe
You get more bang for your buck with the Sharps. This is true for TIs and especially true for Casio. They are also just as easy to use as anything on the market. elb
This calculator runs fast and solves a lot mathematical problems such as matrixes, equations complex numbers, tan, cos, sin, standard deviation and much more.It is great to have it.
