Sucky strings
Ok, I figured I would try something new, from a company I trusted. Turns out to be a bad idea as two of the strings broke while I was attempting to put them on. These strings are so cheesy they will not take much pressure at all. I was not even able to get them to standard pitch, while trying to tune the up. Stay away from these strings.

The best strings for me
I have had a hard time the last 10 years playing the guitar with my arthritis. The heavier strings were impossible to play, and the lighter guage strings were also getting difficult. It was hard to find playable strings without losing tone, especially on the bass strings. EB Aluminum bronze strings are able to do that. They sound amazing, without tiring out my hands when playing barre chords I have been using these strings for about 4 years now, and I can't see myself changing to something else. Brighten up a dull sounding acoustic!
For me these strings are a different breed altogether because they really bring out the resonance in a dark/dull sounding PRS I own. I have tried so many different acoustic brand strings to unlock this particular guitar’s potential….As most of you know, PRS’s are great quality instruments so I knew this guitar had innate potential…it just needed the right strings to bring it out! That said, these “aluminum/bronze” strings may be to bright for other model guitars, but man for this particular axe, it really exceeded my expectations! For me these strings are a different breed altogether because they really bring out the resonance in a dark/dull sounding PRS I own. I have tried so many different acoustic brand strings to unlock this particular guitar’s potential….As most of you know, PRS’s are great quality instruments so I knew this guitar had innate potential…it just needed the right strings to bring it out! Ernie Ball Aluminum Bronze are the real deal for fingerpickers!
I just found the perfect set of strings Light 11-52 for my Gibson J-35. After watching a YouTube video with Steve Stevens playing a demo of these on a J-45. The vintage lightly braced J-35 responds with piano like overtones when fingerpicked with the Aluminum Bronze strings. Amazing how a modern set of Ernie Ball can bring out the best in a vintage voiced guitar.
