I have been using Polar products for years. All of their chest straps are recognized by most treadmills and workout equipment. I purchased the Polar Oh1 with the same pretense. It synced perfectly with my V800. However, all the treadmills at my gym does not “see” this device. Meaning it does not communicate with it. Now I’m back to using my chest strap in the gym and using the OH1 outside. I was hoping to eliminate the chest strap. Well, I guess I did outdoors. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this item for its functionality

The polar flow app is a little to be desired. Some of the information does not correlate to my actual workout. The polar beat app is better but still lacks some features. Still relatively new to using this system. And mind you I only have oh1 device and my phone. No bike computer and no watch yet compatible with this oh1

It came with no box and or instructions! But it is brand new! And it connected with my phone and the app in literally seconds, so I'm happy that I brought this, because I needed it for class! And for this kind of price, well deserved!

I use this device for multiple sports. I needed to find a second one. So I reached out to Polar, they said they no longer carry it. I looked everyone, until I found it on eBay. I quickly picked it up because I know its value, this HR monitor is an excellent product.

I've tried 3 different watches with pulse monitors on them and they are great at measuring HR when at rest, but are all completely useless whenever it gets to exercising hard. I hike up big hills hard and quickly work up a sweat, which no doubt doesn't help either. I've never really liked the idea of a chest monitor as it's so visually obvious (I never wear a shirt), and I would imagine very quickly get sodden in sweat. When I saw this, I was intrigued - this looks to be the best of both worlds, but would it be just another LED waste of money? Very pleasantly surprised to find it seemed to be spot on. I've been wearing it on my inner forearm - up nearer the elbow end. Very comfortable and stays put. The flashing green light is pretty bright in the dark, but I kind of like the reassurance that it is recording when you're going hard. Can't compare it to a chest monitor (I don't have one), but my experience seems to back up the great reviews I've read. I've always pushed my body to the limit when going and the consistant red zone readings right at my max HR and a little bit over back up my gut feeling all this time. HR varies up and down consistantly with an increase/decrease in exercise and is not affected by my cadence at all (like the wrist based ones seem to do a lot). Love the app and have now just ordered a Polar watch to go with it (not needed with this, but will be fun to watch my HR as I'm going rather than just looking at the (very awesome) readings after. Very impressed, and highly recommended!Read full review
