Original Tri-Sure Vents - Brand New, Never Used, No Retail Packaging. BEWARE OF VENT CAPS BEING SOLD ON EBAY WITHOUT THE RETAINING LIPS - THEY ARE DESIGNED FOR METAL CANS! Use our Vents for any plastic, Diesel, Kerosene, Gas, Water can or anything that you need a smoother faster flow & very easy to install. Drill 1/2" (31/64" For a tight fit - 1/2" is close enough) hole at the back of your plastic can, above the fill line and pop it in gently with a rubber mallet. We suggest you drill a smaller hole (1/8") to start with and then use the 1/2" or (31/64") drill bit. Be sure to drill a straight clean hole, watch for a residue plastic and try and prevent residue from entering the can. The Vent cap needs to sit in tight to give a good leak proof seal. Installation instructions on the back of your packing slip, with each order. Gas Cans not included.””

These vent caps are sweet! Using a micrometer the shaft that slides into the can measures 17/32, just 1/32 over a half inch. Before pressing it into the 1/2 inch hole I drilled into the plastic gas can I wiped the vent down with a super lubricant called MOTOORCOTE. It looks like oil but nothing like it. If you apply it to metal you can not wipe it off. You will need to either sand it or grind it off. That lube stuff made it easier to press the vent cap into the smaller hole. NO LEAKS! :0)

Makes the new gas cans work like they should
Easy to add a quality vent to your new or recent gas cans. The spout on our can broke so we used a universal spout. It only poured out a cup or two before stopping so the air can rush back in the tank. This caused fill ups to take forever. Yes you can puncture the can but the air vent has a cap to secure it against spills and keep rain / moisture out. Took about 5 minutes to install which included finding the drill bit and slowly drilling the hole. I used a piece of wood and rubber mallet to insert the vent cap. Easy repair
I broke the hinge on my original vent cap and lost the cap so my gasoline was open to the air; not a good situation. I could easily pry out the old one and pop in the new one. Can also be used to vent an un-vented model if you have a 1/2 inch drill.

Yellow vents good quality and they work
These work perfectly. Drill a 1/2 inch hole. Put a little grease or vaseline around the bottom to ease installation, then a quick whack with a wood block should do it.
