This is a way better quality clarinet than I was expecting for the price. This isn't the fault of the manufacturers, but simply the type of clarinet that it is: it's going to take a little while to get used tho the more spaced out keys/holes and different fingerings for some notes. For example, F sharp is the same fingering as F natural on Boehm system clarinets, and the F natural is like E with the middle right side key pressed. B natural is the typical B flat fingering, and B flat is like A but with the little sliver key just under the A. Once you get to really high notes, all of the fingerings are different, so it'll take some memorization, and for transposition, it's 1 more flat in the key signature and 5 half-steps above for music in c, and 2 more flats in the key signature 2 steps above what's written for music in Bb (typical clarinet key) to get the same pitches.Read full review

It's an Eb, it's going to have issues and for this price point I'm pretty impressed. Key work is solid - minimal noise, no rattling keys and keys are comfortable coming from a Buffet Rc Bb. Only gripe here is that the LH E/B key overlaps the C#/G# - could be 5mm lower to help larger pinkies, my work around atm is just slightly bending the E/B away from the clarinet. Otherwise nice quality keys. Flat around Lh/Rh break, sharp with all keys down so could do well with a long bell/extension. Supplied mouthpiece speaks well with 3.5 V12 reed (ligature quite average and supplied reed very weak) but can't wait to try it with a new mouthpiece. No show stoppers in my opinion and overall am stoked with the quality and would absolutely recommend.

this A clarinet, unbranded, generic, is pretty darn good ... even comes with a neck strap, and all the needed accessories ... the swab cloth doesnt work good though; gets stuck... the provided mouthpiece, lig, reed combo play great though .. produce a warm pleasing mellow generic tone ... the key work looks classy and performs very well too... intonation isn't the best in the world, but overall, not too bad... the throat tone Bb to clarion B sticks out the most ... to sum up : an A clarinet for the budget-minded ... well worth the money ..

Ok I admit I felt like I was taking a chance with this horn. In the states horns made of red wood cost 10 times this price, some way more than that. But I had bought some clarinet barrels and bells that had enhanced my clarinet. So I took a chance. I had already read one nice review about this horn but you never know. Well it came this week. It is amazing. I love the rich focused sound of this beautiful instrument. I am so glad I purchased it. Glenn

Plays easily and in tune and for an Eb that's saying a lot well built by someone who knows how.
