This is my second Orient automatic after getting an Orient Symphony that I like very much as well. The fit and finish of the Defender is perfect, not a single fault anywhere. The brushed finish on the case is very attractive and more resistant to scratches than a polished finish. I got the beige model (since I can't afford a Hanhart desert pilot automatic), and I live in AZ so goes well with any outdoor activities. The dial is very readable and attractive, all the detailing, logo and an hour marks are perfect. The strap is comfortable, no need to change it outright like I did with an AVI-8 Flyboy that came with a Zulu strap. The beige dial makes it stand out in a sea of black dial watches. Love it, on my way to a 3rd. Orient watch now, I like how they have more fine detailing and style than Seikos (although I like my diver models) and the dials don't look busy like Citizen watches (I'll probably sell my Nighthawk Blue Angels because of that, borders on unreadable).Read full review

I ordered the watch and got it about 3 days later. The watch is new and came in a very nice ,fancy factory box w all papers. Nice, nice ,nice. The watch has some heft ,indicating quality and easy to set. Nice leather band and has more useable funtions than a sports/explorer watch usually has. I'm super happy w it.
