Great product and deal - only thing I didn't like is that its a bluish color when I was hoping for white or sun light. I need to find the cycles for white and I thought 5k was that range. Its great for most uses, but I wouldn't want them for vanity makeup areas.

The amount of light from only 20 watts/bulb is very impressive. I replaced 6 recessed incandescent flood light bulbs with these LED bulbs. I went from 450 watts down to 120 watts (at full brightness). I probably should have bought 60 watt LED's. It still would have been much brighter than the incandescent bulbs. The light is very evenly distributed 360 degrees and the 5K color temperature is outstanding in my home kitchen. The bulbs are closely color matched. The only issue that I have is that the bulbs will not light when connected to a dimmer until the dimmer is brought up to about 40 percent brightness. Once they are lighted they can be brought down in brightness. It is a problem for me at night when the kitchen is dark because the light (once the bulb triggers) is blinding. I now close my eyes until I start the bulb and bring the brightness down to a low level. If you have a dimmer that can retain your brightness setting and you start at the low end, it may not light the bulbs without going higher and then returning to your desired setting. I don't know if this is typical of the Polaroid bulbs or if I got a bad batch. I have GU10 base GE LED bulbs in my bathroom and they will light up at any starting level on the dimmer. That says to me that LED bulbs can start at low light levels.Read full review

Purchased this to illuminate some areas that I wanted brighter light...I like the daylight balance. They looked great initially, but within a few days the 1st bulb went out. Then a week later another, a week later another. And now a 4th is flickering and acting so weird we had to replace it. We replaced with an alternate brand which have been in place longer than those 4...so its not a bad outlet / electric problem. I would not buy these again, would not recommend.

Super bright instant on light source. Too bad it has that BLUE tint most of the older LED bulbs have. Quality is top drawer. Can't get past the blue hue. Maybe you can. Excessive blue light makes it unsuitable for photography applications which is strange since it's a Polaroid branded bulb. Great Value makes a similar bulb with the bright yellowish light most similar to incandescent bulbs. If you are looking for bright, instant on, light similar to incandescent bulbs but in an LED bulb, you will be very disappointed with this bulb. Get the Great Value bulb instead.

The bulbs will not light when connected to a dimmer until the dimmer is brought up to about 100 percent brightness. Once they are lighted they can be brought down in brightness. This is a problem for me. The Bulbs are great if you don't need Dimmable bulbs. I can only recommend these bulbs if you don't use them in a dimmer. Otherwise you will have to turn the dimmer up to about 100 Percent if the last time you turned these bulbs on and left the dimmer at less than 100 Percent. Otherwise you will not be able to get any light from them.
