I've only used the hoist a couple of times so far, lifting about 60 kg. Works well however it is quiet fast. I've added a double snack block to the bottom with a single snatch block the top to quad the cable. This has slowed the lifting and lowering speed down so its more suitable for my application. I knew I would have to do this before I bought the hoist so not unexpected. So far the hoist has worked as expected with no problems. If the manufacturer were able to sell a slower speed version of this, or supply it with both a single and double snatch block, it would be better.

Bought this to mount under my (high) carport roof to allow mounting roof racks etc on my Landcruisers and loading other gear. The install went fine, but when I tested it the drum was jammed and wouldn't come down. I was forced to apply a heavy load to it and managed to free it up and it now goes up and down ok, but in doing this I did bend the 2 x 300kg rated brackets that hold the running beam so it's now operating on about a 45 degree angle lengthwise. But it works ok.

For the price it works as stated. Good little hoist winch. It didn"t get a five star review because the threads were full of swarf and had to put a tap through them to clean so bolts would go through nicely.

I used this hoist to swap out the old rope pulley system in my dumb waiter. This electric hoist is powerful and solidly engineered and does the job well with just the push of a button.
