Excellent kit. AA cells are economic, and gives battery commonality with my other equipment. Powerful light if needed, economy settings for battery conservation. Rugged, particularly the battery compartment. Batteries can be kept warmer under head wear in very cold enviroments. Lightweight (by my standards anyway). I like the LED drivers flat output characteristic, a Petzl speciality. Only criticism is I would prefer a much lower minimum light setting for use in mountain huts in the middle of the night , and in snowholes. It tends to be years between me getting enthusiastic about a piece of gear, but this, I really like. I have now had it for two years of light(sorry) use. A worthy successor to the standard 1980's headtorch, the Petzl Zoom.

very good torch, runs from NIMH batteries and has power settings that you can change the default setting too. Only down side for me is that it's easy to put it on upside down since it looks and feels similar both ways up. Because it's a white opaque case you get some light shining onto you face in the dark ( which may be intentional I guess) but can be noticeable if you are used to one that does not do this. By far the biggest problem is that I can never remember where I put it though !

Simple but powerful lamp, easy to use, light, long lasting and full of features, without costing so much. This is THE headlamp! If I had to choose 10 more lamps, I'd go 10 times with this Petzl Myo.

Petzl Myo no 2 for me after the first one was stolen. Still a fantastic headtorch. Gives good light. The diffuser works as it should and the torch is reasonably easily operated with gloves on. Pros: Programmable Reasonably cheap Very balanced through battery pack at the rear Good light Good runtime Can be used with rechargeables Cons: relatively heavy, this is not an ultralight torch

Very good light the diffuser works really well for walking on really dark paths lights up really nice but also if you need to see in the distance flip the diffuser down and you get a solid beam which is very bright and dont forget the quick blast button when pressed the full 370lm is on and when released its goes back to what ever setting you had on previously, also the light can be programable which the lights has 10 settings of different brightness so you can choose which 1 you want for you own preferences.
