These tuners, which are featured on many of Paul Reed Smith's higher-end and Private Stock guitars, have vintage-styled 'open-back' construction, which give them a near-identical look to other lower-quality stock tuners--but there the similarity ends. The fit, finish, and overall workmanship of these locking tuning machines is nothing less than superlative; and I've spent fifty years as a professional luthier, working with every kind of tuner on the market. I'm STOKED! They're expensive, yes--but I guarantee, worth every penny; for their high precision, rock-solid stability and ease of installation and use. SHRED, y'all! These are nice tuners.
These are nice tuners. They fit my SE Pauls Guitar quite well (had to ream out the headstock holes a bit to get them to fit). Not the cheapest option out there but the finish/look is nice, they are nice to use and locking facility works well (as expected).
