    This Techs opinion

    Good made in USA quality. I recently purchased the 6", 8" & 10" Wilde pliers. The 6" pliers with the jaws in the wide slip joint position and the handles closed all the way, there is a substantial gap at the tip of the jaws. Poor quality control. The 8" pliers are perfect. Larger jaws than the 6" and operate perfectly in both slip joint positions. The handles flare outward at the ends for a very comfortable and secure grip. The 10" pliers are like the 8" pliers but the jaws were no bigger than the 8" Wilde pliers.So your getting 8*" pliers with longer handles. Overall they are good gripping pliers and well made. The 8" pliers are my favorite to use.

    not the answer, keep looking

    In closed position, unlike Craftsman pliers, the handles are too close together and therefore do let your hand be in a position to squeeze as tightly. IDENTICAL Tekton model 37124 can be purchased for 30-40% less.
