I committed to buying this combo solely on the very helpful information that I was given when I asked about it. There were two other “used combos” available but I chose this one. Packaging is pristine, the condition of the parts are flawless. The CASTLE name rings bells, so I know the quality is Top Notch. This was a great budget friendly deal. Hands down.

    Caste side wonder SCT

Amazing ESC and motor but recommend to use a 3s for faster speeds cause 2s is just average but also a 3s gives you HELLA FAST SPEED USE A 3S!!! It’s cold where I’m at so my tires have no grip but I’m sure this ESC & Motor on a 3S has to push 80-100mph this thing is crazy fast!!! And I don’t even own the program card to unlock the full potential of the motor and ESC! But USE WITH CAUTION NO JOKE I use a Traxxas 4 tec 2.0 all stock but the main diff. I use a 58T

    Want a new esc

I ordered this product and it literally ran for 1 min then begin getting a pulsing signal as if a capacitor or transistor was damaged. I have no clue how to receive or fix my esc that came damaged. So i guess i have a lost. I thought this was a good brand but a esc that comes with problems right out the box has left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Hope others enjoyed it more than me

  • Castle 1410 SCT

This setup is awesome! I used it for my traxxas slash 2wd with a 2s lipo. It wheelies at any speed, and accelerates like nothing else. Absolutely no cogging or stuttering with the timing at the stock 10 degrees. Castle has done it again. The power is outrageous, almost a little much, but tons of fun. The castle link programming is super cool as well, and can be used to tame it down a bit. The motor is very high quality as well as the ESC. I simply hooked the ESC fan to channel one on my transmitter box, and it works as it should. Good feature to have. The motor and ESC both run in a great temperature range.

  • Too much power

Motor is too fast for the intended vehicle, a 2wd slash. I had to gear it down to around stock levels to make it workable. The recommended gearing for this thing makes it absolutely fly. It'll wheelie on command, even though the slash tends to not do that. CastleLink allows you to modify the programming of the esc quite a bit, however, so it is certainly usable.

  • Awesome little motor!!

I bought the Sidewinder SCT combo paired with the Castle 3800KV motor for my 1/10 scale 2WD truck - lets just say - this thing is amazing. The previous motor and ESC I had was a 3500 KV Hobbystar, and it died after only 2 months and barely any usage. I replaced it with this combo, and I couldnt be any more than happy. Installation was easy, calibration was easy, and it delivers more than enough power - instant and long standing wheelies just on 2S. I haven't even tweaked any of the motor settings either, just using the stock defaults for now. I cant wait to stick a 3S in there and see what happens. Ive only run about 3 batteries through the ESC and motor so far, but each time it ran well. Little to no cogging that I can hear, and seems to run reasonably cool as well (though that could ...
