    Glad I didnt pay MSRP for this product.

    Positives: It's a big beefy chunk of copper. It will fit in a 1u chassis if you have the airflow for it. The mounting backplate IS INCLUDED and seems to fir all variations of the 115x spacing. This means it will fit the 1151 Sky Lake and 1151 Kaby Lake processors and is great if you are using a low TDP processor Negatives: Break out the marble surface and the sandpaper of varying degrees and polishing compound. The contact surface on this was terrible and wavy. A good thermal compound and Im sure it would be fine actually but when a chunk of copper goes for almost $35 to $45 full price, I expect more. It took me and hour plus of work on a marble slab to get this thing smoothed out, lapped and polished to perfection. The smoother the surface the less thermal compound you need (up to a ...
