Finally, Got my 2nd most wanted knife.
This Espada looked new, even though it was a "used knife". The blade was pretty sharp out of the package (which was very well packed), but not quite as sharp as some of the brand new CS knives. I think this was from just sitting, though, because the edge showed no signs of every being sharpened. About 5 passes on each side on my ceramic sticks brought shaving sharp. This is a big knife, but doesn't take much more pocket room than my Lg Voyager. Surprisingly, it is well balanced and not real heavy. The only con to this knife is that the Tri-ad lock is very stiff. I can close it 2 or 3 times and my thumb is worn out. That is just a quirk of this type of lock and should get easier with use with a little break in time.. Overall, I really like this knife and would recommend it to any one ... This Espada looked new, even though it was a "used knife". Big Knife that is easy to carry
I have wanted this knife for a long time. It is a good balance between being large and useful and being easy to carry. I slide it in my right front jeans pocket and carry it every day and forget it is there till I need it. Then when I need it opens quickly and easily with one hand and I am ready to cut anything I need too.

This knife is not for the faint of heart. At 12 & 1/4 inches open, this thing is a beast. Maybe not your typical e.d.c, but that depends on your own personal preference. The Demko thumb plate works flawlessly. With a little practice you'll be able to deploy this knife as soon as it leaves your pocket. I've noticed that the auto deploy works best with jeans. I've tried chef pants, sweat pants and dress pants, no luck. But if you're wearing jeans and you draw this knife it will deploy instantly. Rugged construction. Nice AUS 10A steel.
