We got a Winner - nice little power house solve my disconnect problem.
My Asus TUF17's WiFi card doesn't cut it. I was managing files and it keeps giving me errors until I realized I was only using WiFi and WiFi was cutting off periodically without saying a word on Windows 11. I didn't have time to get another WiFi card so I use Ethernet cable to complete the job. After researching WiFi card for my laptop, it was determined it accepts M.2. My laptop has a WiFi 6 sticker. It uses MediaTek chipset. At BestBuy, some complaints about it. I starting searching and found 6E is available. My router supports WiFi 6 and I don't need the extra speed. I found this card with great review, 27 five stars at time of purchase. I decide to take the chance and ordered it. It shipped from CA to GA and arrived in 5 days (4-day from label creation, 3-day from acceptance by ... My Asus TUF17's WiFi card doesn't cut it. It shipped from CA to GA and arrived in 5 days (4-day from label creation, 3-day from acceptance by USPS). That's great!!! It's packaged in a plastic bubble protected envelope. NICE! Inside, there is a brown envelope. That's how it is packaged. Inside it is a small static protected package with the M.2 WiFi card inside. I waited until my most important task completed before taking the plunge to replace it. Once I located my M.2 WiFi card under the M.2 NVME SSD, it's fairly easy to remove the antenna wire one at a time and connect it back to the new WiFi card before I forgot which is which. I remove the old WiFi card's only screw, just like the M.2 NVME SSD's screw and replace the new WiFi card in its place. Voila!! That's it. VERY SIMPLE & EASY TO DO. After replacing my laptop's battery & back cover, I immediately start up my laptop to give it a go. Having great speed doesn't mean reliability. I got great reception (full bar) at direct distance of about 60-feet between two walls. The speed was great, too. I went back to my desk, fire up my laptop, continue some more test and delete old / obsoleted Bluetooth devices set up using the old MediaTek WiFi/BT card and pair them again. Pairing BT devices was quick & painless. Now, it's time to stress test it. I fired up FreeCommander, a dual pane file manager I've used for many years. I started moving & comparing files for several hours simultaneously and it didn't even blink once. On top of it, I didn't even need to install driver, Windows recognize it and did it without a hitch. We got a Winner!! How will it work in the long run? I don't know and I can't say. But I doubt it will crap out any time soon.

Upgraded the wifi in the old laptop
When the hdd in my wife's old laptop crashed. I not only decided to replace the hdd, but I upgraded it to a sata SSD and while I was in there decided to upgrade the wifi card. It was still using the old wifi a/b tech and my router had been upgraded to wifi 6 a while ago since all my other devices are wifi 6 capable. So I ordered this wifi 6 card with Bluetooth and boy did it wake up the network speeds in my wife's old laptop! Not only does it perform better with the new sata SSD! But she is blazing fast on the internet! Weather your just looking up recipes or a YouTube vid or watching a 4k movie! This card will do the job and do it well! The upgrade to WiFi 6 did not disappoint!
I bought this WiFi card because I knew it was supported by my aging laptop and that it would upgrade my connection from WiFi 5 to WiFi 6. (I didn't need the pcie "desktop kit" that it came with, but that can wait for a possible future need.) Once installed, the card did not disappoint. The upgrade not only increased my WiFi speed (since my WiFi network supports WiFi 6), but also improves the stability of the connection. The connection hasn't dropped anywhere in the house since I installed this AX200 card. There are many newer WiFi cards, if your laptop supports them. This card hit the sweet spot of price and performance for me.I bought this WiFi card because I knew it was supported by my aging laptop and that it would upgrade my connection from WiFi 5 to WiFi 6. easy upgrade when I upgraded my new dell 3000 Inspiron 15, i5 with a new 500 ssd drive and added 8 gb ram so I thew in the card at same time, it seems to be a very fast, improved function card... THEY say it is 3 times faster than the 5th gen... which was in my laptop.

Breathe life into your thrift store laptop
BOOM! Took my thrift store laptop's wifi from "1 bar maybe" to "full bars constantly". Very easy install, just be sure to download the drivers before you take out the old card. My laptop's old card is puny looking compared to this beast.
