Fifteen-year-old Winnie Foster (Alexis Bledel) is the beautiful, privileged daughter of the richest man in town. A disagreement with her domineering parents (Amy Irving, Victor Garber) sends Winnie outside the fence that surrounds her pristine house and protects her from the outside world, and into the nearby forbidden woods. Her journey becomes a far greater adventure than she ever anticipated when she meets the Tucks, a family of immortals that live deep in the woods. Parents Angus (William Hurt), Mae (Sissy Spacek), and their sons Miles (Scott Bairstow) and Jesse (Jonathan Jackson), stopped aging more than a century ago after drinking from an enchanted spring, a veritable fountain of youth. With the Tucks, Winnie discovers the freedom lacking in her own small world, and a romance blossoms between the mortal teenager and the immortal Jesse. With the local police searching for the missing Winnie and a mysterious stranger (Ben Kingsley) searching for the Tucks, Winnie must choose between immortality and a life with her new friends, or the life--and inevitable death--of a normal human. I'm sure this seller is very good at other media, but they are inexperienced at selling vinyl. Their description was this: "7 inch Vinyl." I sent 2 questions, asking about condition and got no response. Went ahead and ordered it. Arrived with no paper sleeve, loose in a cardboard box, which means that the record had sustained scratches en route. Seller did honor a refund, so that was good. If you're a vinyl collector, I'd give this seller a pass. But any other form of product I'm sure is great!

A good adaptation of the book of the same name
"Tuck Everlasting" begins with two young men being chased by a sinister looking man in a yellow suit who they manage to elude several times. When they escape, they head to a small town to be reunited with their parents. Winifred Foster (Bledel), better known as Winnie, lives in a white house with an iron fence encircling it. The iron fence may as well be a prison wall for Winnie since her parents and grandmother won't let her explore or have much contact with the outside world. When Winnie is told that she will be sent away to a very strict school, she has had enough and "runs away" into the forest next to her house to think. While in the forest, Winnie comes across a strange teenager named Jesse Tuck (Jackson) drinking from a spring. Jesse makes it clear that Winnie shouldn't drink from ... At first, Winnie is of course frightened and scared since she is taken farther away from home, but when Tuck and Mae make her feel at home in their little cabin, Winnie warms to them. Winnie draws especially close to Jesse since he goes out of his way to be kind to her by taking her to his favorite place in the forest, running in the fields, and swimming. In fact, Winnie begins to love Jesse. Then Jessie shares the Tucks' secret and the reason he and his brother brought her with them: he is really over 100 years old! Many, many years ago, while passing through the Foster's forest, the Tucks drank from a little spring in front of an old tree. The spring was magical -- anyone who drinks from it will become immortal. Winnie is intrigued by the Tucks' story until she hears the downsides of living forever. Miles tells her how he lost his family because they thought he was evil since he never grew older. And Tuck takes Winnie and explains to her that "Don't be afraid of death, Winnie. Be afraid of the unlived life." Then trouble happens - believing her to be kidnapped, Winnie's parents enlist the help of the Man in the Yellow Suit to find her. In exchange, he gets their forest in which the spring is hidden. He goes to fetch Winnie from the Tucks. He knows about the spring and its magical powers. He wants to sell the water to make enormous amounts of money, but since he doesn't know exactly where it is, he uses Winnie as a hostage to force one of the Tucks to show him. But Mae comes to Winnie's rescue and hits the Man in the Yellow Suit in the head with a shotgun and kills him. When Mae hits him, she is in full view of the sheriff and his deputies. Even though Winnie explains that she wasn't kidnapped and went of her own free will, the sheriff still believes that Mae is guilty of murder, so she must hang. Since Mae is immortal, the Tucks can't allow her to hang because then their secret would come out. Winnie comes to the rescue and with the aid of the brothers, she rescues Mae. The Tucks have to escape immediately, but before they go, Jesse begs Winnie to drink from the spring and he will come back for her. But after thinking about what Angus told her, Winnie decides not to drink the water. Years later, Jesse comes back and discovers her tombstone and realizes she chose a mortal life. Overall, this was a fairly accurate adaptation of the book though there were some liberties taken with the minor details and is an enjoyable Disney family film.

Tuck everlasting VHS
I liked this movie very much. It is a very good wholesome family movie. I liked how the characters interacted with each other. I would recommend this movie to people, I really think that they would enjoy it as much as our family did. I actually had gotten this VHS movie and a DVD of this movie. I kept one for myself and passed the other on to a friend of mine who I knew would enjoy it as well. ThanksI liked this movie very much. It is a very good wholesome family movie. I liked how the characters interacted with each other. I would recommend this movie to people, I really think that they would enjoy it as much as our family did. I actually had gotten this VHS movie and a DVD of this movie. I kept one for myself and passed the other on to a friend of mine who I knew would enjoy it as well. Thanks
