    may not be to everyone's taste. it's salty like anchovy paste but full of B vitamins. Maybe best used with foods that can absorb the salty quality like grits, pastas, breads and potatoes. Seller was quite prompt. Price included 2 jars so I was able to share the other jar. And I'm not even an Aussie. They love this stuff the way Brits and South Africans love Mar Mite.

    Vegemite Sandwich

    I finally broke down and bought some Vegemite after being curious about it for many years after hearing about a Vegemite Sandwich in a song. I wanted to eat it correctly so I did some research on the internet about how it should be eaten. That was when I found out about the controversy between Vegemite and another product of similar ingredients named Marmite, so I ordered some Marmite too, and did a side by side taste test. These products are a seasoning, and they should be used sparingly. Eating a large dose of either product could be compared to eating a large tablespoon of salt or pepper, you just wouldn't do it. Vegemite LIGHTLY spread on buttered toast is a taste treat, and is really quite pleasant! Marmite on the other hand has a foul overpowering salty taste, and I will never ...

    Perfect for the adventurous eater.

    I have wanted to try Vegemite for a really long time so when I found it on here I couldn't pass on ordering it. Arrived quick and well packed, I toasted some bread and buttered one slice and put a thin layer of Vegemite on the other half. When I tried it I could tell I still used too much but the taste while strong is unique and does grow on you.

    Yummo!

    A unique and acquired taste. Now I love and crave it. Put a light skim of the stuff on a piece of toast, then a layer of thin sliced avocado, then a layer of thin sliced tomato, then some really coarse-ground black pepper.     An odd condiment

    I was 1st introduced to Vegemite during WOG day while crossing the Equator in 99. Shellbacks would give us WOGS a Vegemite mustache. It smells terrible. But when we got to Australia I tried eating some on toast, it’s salty, I love salt, & I liked it. I use it on sandwiches & wraps. I like it.
