The quality of the product seems ok but it is most definitely not a direct replacement as the sellers description suggests.The original mounting is not compatible due to the larger diameter of the replacement product but also the overall length is greater, which means the front pulleys do not align.At present I am unable to use this purchase, and will either have to ditch it or find a solution.Either way it will cost far more than I expected, not to mention the inconvenience.

This is a Direct replacment for a 12 Volt Dynamo, nowhere does it say it will replace the smaller 6 Volt Dynamo, I am sorry you made your own assumption that was incorrect.
