    A great book easy to read and follow not tecnical

    I purchased the book a while ago being a lover of scents. I found the book to be easy to follow the chapter were set out so I could easily navigate round the book Many times the author gave a small intro to a recipie It was set out in 3 sections 1]Scenting your rooms 2] decorating your home 3] Working with flowers there is really nothing i dislike about it and for anyone who likes flowers and scent and beauty in the home get this book I promise it will delight and inspire you

    Beautiful, elegant!

    This book was my very first intro to potpourri making. I borrowed it from my local library and that is how I came to purchase it. Now, don't let the 1986 printing date scare you- the recipes are timeless. Even though some of the photos are definitely "dated" looking, I do think there is a sophistication and elegance to them. Barbara is a wonderful writer and has an ease about the topic. She has beautiful photos of gardens, including her own and the entire book is inspiring. You could make the recipes and tweak them in your own way. The possibilities are endless!
