One of harbor freights worse tools
I'm going to reference the Harbor freight users reviews of this. This is one of their brands. (In fact the picture is taken from their online catalog.) Of the approx 100 'good' reviews more than half either haven't used theirs yet, or only used it once before giving it a thumbs up, or just didn't say anything useful. I've used and returned one because the 2 and less star reviews are closer to reality than the positives. I'd give mine a 1 star. I returned mine because the bearings in one of the blade wheels started to make noise signaling an imminent failure and the blade started to scrape the back of the guides. It had 4.5 hrs of use on it and used two HF blades both of which broke in half. The good, it's cheap at Harbor Freight. The bad ; the documentation is bad and it's easy to ... It is prone to motor problems. like most of the Harbor freight motors this has brushes which are frequently installed wrong, not seated properly and that makes the motor susceptible to arcing then burnout. The brushes can wear unevenly causing the motor to fail to start or just quit in use. You can't get replacement parts if the winding goes due to arcing. The blades break too easily. The frame has substandard guides and the back of the blade has been known to cut through the aluminum housing. It doesn't always track well when cutting because the guides are flimsy. When it was being used for chain link fence tubing it ran noticeably hot after the first dozen cuts. Doesn't seem to have enough ventilation. After returning it finished the job with a large pipe cutter. To finish up, a common statement is that the Chinese quality control is bad and I have to agree. Of the few reviews that said this was great and well constructed just as many said the opposite so it's just luck whether you get a good one or a bad one. With HFs reputation it's more likely a bad one. Mine was a bad one and I got a refund. Spend your money on a name brand and don't gamble on this totally Chinese one.

Hope it's better than the older models
I have used HF tools for over 30 yrs. I still have some of the earliest tools and they work fine even now. I bought the first portable bandsaws they sold. I use my tools lightly and that care of them. This is the only one I've had problems with. I can only say it was junk. Both wheels broke. I don't recommend that one but the new Bauer I haven't used. But my guess is that it is the same quality. The problem is that the nature of the beast is stress and needs strength which mine didn't have. I'm not sure of this one. I would be leery of it. Blade jambed, drive gear stripped out
I had this bandsaw for many years only occasionally using it. Then I needed to slice some tack welding between steel angle iron, the blade jambed, and the final drive gear located inside the blade drive wheel, stripped out. All plastic. There was no current limit to the motor, so the weak link failed.

Do not know how it works as the SWAG stand was the wrong size.
It has no manufacturers plate , serial number and the instructions are too small to read.
