    Very satisfied with this purchase.

DVD was as described. Was packaged well and arrived timely. I got this for my dad. He is 99, a World War II veteran…He was a paratrooper in the 101st and jumped at Market Garden on September 17th, 1944. We watched this movie as a family and the stories I have heard over the years became more real. It was very emotional to realize what my dad and others like him went through. I was happy to be able to find this movie for him.

  • The movie is accurately titled;when it came to the big screen in the summer of 1977!

I have always been very interested in the history of WORLD WAR 2. "A BRIDGE TOO FAR " IS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL WW TWO movies ever made. I put it right up there with "THE LONGEST DAY" and " WHERE EAGLES DARE" ;just to name a few. The OVERTURE to "A BRIDGE TOO FAR" literally brought me to tears when I watched it for the 1st time! I;and other WW2 movie buffs I have talked to ; say the same thing. I believe "A BRIDGE TO FAR" is tremendous, towering and magnificent !!! The movie is the story of " OPERATION MARKET GARDEN" ; a plan to end the war in EUROPE BY CHRISTMAS 1944 ! Sadely;that didnt happen. GOD BLESS every Allied soilder who participated in it!!

  • I just did.

The disc was in very good condition! The movie is awesome with the all star cast! It’s a very good war movie that shows the sacrifice of our troops along side our allied troops for the defeat of the Germans during WW2!!

  • A Bridge Too Far

A well done production of an unusual WW2 operation based on plans of British General Bernard Montgomery. Like all military leaders, sometimes he had a good plan; other times, he didn't. Watch to see which this was.

  • A story told as it should be.

This is an incredible story about some incredible people that made it all happen during WW2. The cast of characters is portrayed by a mile long list of first rate actors. The scenery is beautiful and it pretty much tells the story as it took place, from what I have read in some very accurate history books. A classic, and well worth watching...and learning.
