    Very Good SD Camcorder that uses DV Tapes

    I bought this when the exact same camera that I had broke while I was trying to archive old tapes. I have moved on to digital media, but I needed it one last time. While it was expensive for a single last purpose, I had no alternative that wasn’t more expensive. I’m quite satisfied.

    Ex abc/nbc network cameraman

    I have one and loved using it,especially with the wireless microphones I bought. I was a network cameraman using 75 grand Ikegami's and when I retired I bought my little Sony and made several films both for charities and myself and friends and exhibited them at clubs. Now I wish I could get the same facilties on a new HD camcorder but sadly unless you pay a bomb they don't have an external mic input. I'm keeping mine but I wish it was HD, Bob Dutru (ex abc news)

    Sony Handycam DCR-TRV38 camcorder is very good & rugged

    This is a very good & rugged camcorder. Has a ton of features including touchscreen controls and a bunch of different output plug types. If you can get a used one that works for under $200 you should buy it.
